计算机基础知识

第一讲

1.     A computer is made up of three main parts: a keyboard, a monitor, and the computer unit.

计算机主要有三部分组成：键盘、显示器、和主机。

2.     These characters C:\> are the MS-Dos (Microsoft disk operating system) prompt.

C:\> 这几个字符是微软磁盘操作系统提示符。

3.     A computer does three types of work: input, processing, and output. 计算机做三种工作：输入、处理、 和输出。

4.A computer system is composed of software (computer programs) and  hard ware.

计算机系统是由软件（ 计算机程序）和硬件组成的。

5. A standard keyboard for an IBM PC computer has just over 100 keys. 一台机IBM PC的标准键盘有100多个键。

Backspace                   回退、 退格

Break中断

Caps Lock                   大写锁定

Ctrl ( control) 控制

Del (delete) 删除

Esc （escape）退出

Ins (insert) 插入

6. Enter First type a command then press “Enter” to ask the computer to  carry it out.

先击一个命令， 然后击 “Enter”键要计算机执行。

7. Esc  “Esc” lets you cancel a command.

“Esc”  键让你取消一条命令。

8.     Shift The shift key shifts the key from small letters to big letters. “Shift” 键能把小写字母变成大写字母。

9. The keyboard is the computer’s main input device. The mouse is also a type of input device.

键盘是计算机的主要输入设备。鼠标也是一种输入设备。

10. The computer unit contains the computer’s microprocessor, its memory, and the chips and circuitry.

  主机里包括计算机处理器。
